Are you emotionally drained at work?
Or, are you longing for some fun time with family and friends?
Whatever it might be, the reason you’re reading this blog strongly indicates that you’re looking at taking some time off from your daily chores. In that case, if you’ve not got many days to spare or if you’re not looking at a long travel- I suggest you plan a short getaway to Kasauli.
For those who have not heard of Kasauli, it’s a small hill town in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh housing colonial-era houses and orchards and a must-go place for those who find solace and joy in the lush green countryside.
I am in love with this hill town because it offers beautiful walks, there is a lot of calmness and it has love in the air.
Hardly 2 hours away from Chandigarh and far from maddening crowds, Kasauli is the only hill town close to my hometown (Ludhiana) except Palampur that still remains untouched by commercialization.
While the place houses numerous hotels, resorts and cottages; I have 2 places to recommend to our readers:
Baikunth Resort
I absolutely loved our stay in this property that indeed offers comfort and peace in nature’s lap. A perfect place that gives you a rare chance to rediscover yourself in the serene mountains; it offers a panoramic view of the breathtaking hills above and the lush green valley below.
The place serves a decent food with a choice of Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines with rooms and cottages built in an exquisite style. With plenty of outdoor areas available in the property, you may indulge yourself in a number of activities and recreational sports.
Approximate Tariff for 2-Nights Stay: Rs 15,000 with Breakfast
Villa Estate 5
If you’re traveling in a group and are looking at a luxurious stay in a haven of tranquility, I certainly recommend staying at Estate 5. It is one of its kind, a luxury 8 bedroom villa located within close proximity to Kasauli.
Besides featuring a heated private pool and sauna, there is a terrace with a kids’ playroom and an outdoor swimming pool. There is a lot more for you to stand in awe of this place. Yummylicious home-style food, private lawns, high-end audio systems, a reading room and a game room- there is something for everyone.
*The Blogging Hacks Tip*
The chances are that you will find the service of the staff to be a bit slow. To be on the safe side and to avoid any disappointment, it is recommended that you place the order for food and beverages well in advance. Nevertheless, the food they serve is delicious.
Must-Try Food: Rajma Chawal, Paneer Kathi Roll, Chicken Curry and Mutton Stew
In case you’re thinking about kicking this property off your list, consider making advance reservations. A last-minute planning might just be frustrating as there are hardly any bookings available especially on the weekends.
Approximate Tariff for 2-Nights Stay: Rs 24,000 inclusive of all meals.
