3 Unique and Fabulous Ideas for Thanksgiving Weekend this Year

The much awaited Thanksgiving weekend is right around the corner and everyone obviously already has a plan. The flights are booked, the shopping lists are ready, and a lot more. But there are always those still looking for ideas that can be executed at the drop of a hat. After all, the holidays are coming (and, of course, Black Friday!) and they must never go waste.

Ideas for Thanksgiving Weekend

Most of us, however, have been repeating the same things every year. We aim at ticking off the travel bucket list, socializing, attending events, or visiting their families. The choices are all, nevertheless, amazing; but is there any uniqueness to your plans? We can be more creative with our plans, do things we were not doing in the last couple of years, and make the best out of this time. To help all you (fancy word for an excited person) on this self-improvement blog, I compiled a list of unique and not so common things that are worth doing this Thanksgiving:

Dig out Memories

When was the last time you took out the albums to see your high school pictures? Or, even your graduation and or family pictures? We are always up for those Kodak moments and candid pictures. Why? It doesn’t surprise me at all if it’s just to share them across your social media profiles. But, is there anything more to these pictures? We are so occupied with our work that we hardly get time to dig into these beautiful memories. Further, there is no time to spare a moment to think about the loved ones we lost, the people we spent our good old days with but never made plans to meet up after, and, of course, the well-wishers who helped us through our difficult times. Why not re-live those moments? Believe me, it will be more than just an enriching experience. It is an antidote to your work stress. To make it memorable, calm your soul by spending money on a gourmet dinner.

Get your Creative Groove back

Working long hours, often, takes an emotional toll and leads to a burnout. There is hardly any time to pursue your hobbies in this world where everyone is blinded by material possessions. You lose your passion and continue waiting for a right time to get back to doing what you loved the most. Sadly, that time never comes. There is always a chore to do or an occasion more important than getting back to writing, playing music or painting a canvas. My dear friend, you’re missing out on life. And, it’s time to get back. In fact, it’s time for self-improvement. It’s either now or never. In doing so, you would use these holidays doing nothing yet the most beautiful of things. The things you loved doing in the past will bring you peace, happiness and above all love. And, love is surprisingly a powerful emotion. If you’re with me and you decide to get your creative groove back, there are different methods to do so. Stay back in town, use your own apartment or travel to a nearby place. Rent yourself a villa or a hotel room, whatever suits you more.

The Idea of Writing a Letter

In today’s world of Facetime, Whatsapp and Emojis; letter-writing is a lost art. It has taken a bow. When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone describing your feelings? The art of writing a letter may have lost its charm. Yet, it remains one of the most heartwarming ways to think about your special someone. Why not do something unique and consider writing letters to your close ones this Thanksgiving? Honestly, your letters are going to make them swoon.

If you’re inspired, you are going to pull a notepad and write letters to everyone important to you. You don’t need to worry about writing perfect letters. After all, it’s the thought that counts. They will come straight from your heart, assuring your loved ones that they’re missed. Your letters will be the gifts that are going to last a lifetime.

Final Words

Mark my words: doing any of the things written above- you are going to get back to your work more energized, rejuvenated, ripped and ready for anything.
